Description
This hanger is from the 1740-1760 period when King Frederick came into power in 1740. The brass hilt is cast in two pieces and the blade has engraved on either side “FR & Crown”. The slightly curved blade is 25 ½ inches long with a top fuller and has a smooth silvery finish. There are some regimental numbers on the back of the brass guard. The sword has a brass mounted leather sheath in excellent condition.
Overall length is 31 ¼ inches.
