This is a very rare form, unusual to find one with a handle. The turned handle is 4 inches long and made of either boxwood or fruitwood. The handle is flat on top to facilitate the opening of the storage bin.

Description

This is a very rare form, unusual to find one with a handle. The turned handle is 4 inches long and made of either boxwood or fruitwood. The handle is flat on top to facilitate the opening of the storage bin. Decorative brass thumb rest sits behind the candle holder. There is a spring latch beneath the bottom of the lid. The legs are shaped with some decoration at the feet. Completely original. You can see in the photo the frizen / steel has been refaced during the course of its use. The handle has a crack that has been filled. Overall length is 11.5 inches. 2 inches wide. 5.5 inches tall. Fully functional.
