Description
This American Shako Hat Plate is as fine as can be found. It is in untouched attic condition, retaining all of its silver plate onto a copper cap plate. This infantry cap plate is nearly identical to figure #123 in the “American Military Insignia 1800-1851” produced by The Smithsonian Institute. The back retains its original tin plume holder and two attachment loops. Exceptional detail. 6 inches tall x 5 inches wide.
