This historic sign is being offered for the first time.The sign is one board 13.25 feet by 16 inches.The sign is from the old Sail Loft that was demolished approximately 25 to 30 years ago on the water front in wiscasset,maine.The building was adjacent to the two schooners that were aground since the 1920's.Wiscasset was the busiest harbor north of Boston in the 18th century.A photo of the Sail Loft is in "WISCASSET IN POWNALBOROUGH" by Fannie Chase.The other signs are not for sale at this time ,they will be sold with the property alone with General Burnside's sailing ship weathervane.
