Description
This powder horn was passed down through Lieutenant Patrick Roger's (1705-1796) family along with the pair of French silver mounted pistols made by Thiolliere. Lt. Patrick Rogers of Pemaquid Maine brought the horn and pistols home after the French and Indn war.
With untouched original patina and color, this horn is in excellent condition. the horn is lightly carved with scenes of ships at anchor flying the colonial British American flag, a 13 stripe field with a British Union Jack in the canton, a rare and possibly unique feature.The engraving also includes a town square with buildings, a church and "Thomas Simons 1762".
