Description
Highly important pair of Diamond and Flame andirons.This pair is the best of the good,better or best.They came from a old house in Virginia and were probably made in Philadelphia.They date in the mid-18th century and are in excellent condition.Refer to The Brass Book for comparison.The andirons stand 23 3/4" with 20"log rests and 11 1/2 wide at the base.The profile resembles the all brass "Paul Revere" andirons.
